Voter's Voice - Empowering Participation Through Technology
Voter's Voice is committed to revolutionizing political engagement by providing an accessible platform where members can actively participate in the democratic process using their phone or computer as a primary means of engagement. Our intention is to create a user-friendly digital interface that allows members to:
• Vote on Party Policies: Directly influence the party's stances and priorities through online polls and referendums.
• Engage in Discussions: Participate in forums and discussions on key issues, ensuring your voice is heard in policy development.
• Attend Virtual Meetings: Join party meetings and events from anywhere, making political involvement more inclusive for those who can't attend in person.
• Propose Initiatives: Submit policy ideas or local issues for consideration, with mechanisms for these to be debated and potentially adopted.
• Stay Informed: Receive real-time updates on party activities, legislative changes, and upcoming actions through a personalized engagement process.
By leveraging technology, Voters Voice aims to democratize participation, making it simple, immediate, and impactful, ensuring every member can contribute to shaping our future, no matter where they are.
My Story: As a fellow Kiwi, I understand the fabric of our community, having grown up in a split family as the youngest of four. My journey spans across Australia and New Zealand, where I've served in the military, worked the land, and started businesses from the ground up. I've experienced both success and decline, notably when the farm was unjustly sold out from under us. Yet, through persistence, I've witnessed justice prevail. My trucking company was once flourishing, but the escalating costs of fuel, labour, and regulatory burdens exposed the systemic issues small businesses face here in New Zealand. Ultimately, I was forced to close down and sell off assets highlighting the dire state of doing business in our country as a small-scale entrepreneur. This personal and professional journey has fuelled my commitment to address these challenges head-on, ensuring economic relief and empowerment for all New Zealanders.
My Vision:
Economic Relief:
Lower Fuel Costs: Bring down the price of fuel to support mobility and reduce business expenses. Affordable Food: Ensure food isn't a luxury but a right for all. Cheaper Electricity: Make power costs manageable so homes and businesses can thrive.
Empowering the Workforce:
Incentivise Work: Make working rewarding by adjusting tax and employment laws to benefit everyone in the pursuit of mutual prosperity.
Simplifying Government:
Cut Bureaucracy: Streamline regulations to stop strangling small businesses and workers. Efficient Public Services: Hospitals should serve people, not act like profit-seeking hotels.
Our Principles:
Against Political Theatre: Politics in NZ feels like a show with "paid actors" who are more interested in their careers than our country. We need leaders who serve, not self-serve.
For Real Representation: I'm not here for the politics; I'm here because I want to work hard for NZ, strip the red tape and see real change. As a father, I can't stand by watching our rights and freedoms erode.
Against the Two-Party System: Both sides have let us down. We need fresh ideas, not the same old promises. Focus on Wealth Creation: NZ should be about building wealth for its people, not just for those in power or the next job for their career.
Action Plan:
Transparency and Engagement: I will communicate directly with you, listen to your feedback, and involve you in shaping our future. Reducing National Debt: Stop the cycle of keeping us poor and in debt. Let's invest in our people, not in political vanity projects.
Government Accountability: Zero-Based Budgeting: Every department justifies its budget from scratch each year. Audit Government Spending: Ensure every dollar spent benefits us, not just bureaucracy. Protect Civil Liberties: Stand firm against the gradual erosion of our rights. Your freedom is non-negotiable.
Our Promise:
No More 'Compliant Poverty': We won't settle for just being okay while the system takes more. We demand prosperity and respect.
A Government That Cares: Our leaders should mirror our struggles, not ignore them. We've seen the incompetence, especially during crises like COVID-19. It's time for leaders who truly represent us.
Conclusion:
It is my view that our government is compromised(for at least 50 years or more) and I'm not happy with the New Zealand our kids are being brought up into. This is my commitment to fix what's broken – to reduce costs, to empower workers, to fight corruption, and to bring back integrity to our governance. Join me in this movement for real change, so we can all work hard, live well, and truly feel represented. Let's get New Zealand working for New Zealanders.
